DIY—Creating Opportunities for Selling Art
Members of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers in the West Michigan area were looking for effective ways to sell their artwork and consequently developed the West Michigan Bead Expo. No imported beads are allowed at the show, and stores are allowed but cannot sell anything that would compete with the artists’ handcrafted beads. What began as a small show in a local hotel banquet room has become a much larger, more centrally located show that draws many vendors.
