Discovering Coverings— The Ultimate Tile, Stone, and Glass Experience

Those who attend the annual Coverings convention get the opportunity to see the latest global trends in stone, ceramic, glass walls, and floor applications presented by all of the key players worldwide. Countries are grouped together in what is called pavilions. This vast array of new products all under one roof is a boon for keeping up with the latest innovations. When artists learn to share pieces of themselves with their clients through stories that share a little about their lifestyles or happenings that occurred while a particular piece was being created, customers will be drawn purchase their artwork. Add to that ways to appeal to a customer’s senses as well, and sales will dramatically increase.
by Alan Toy

Artists can also learn techniques for sharing part of themselves with their clients in Sales for the Independent Artist— Anatomy of a Sale in Show Talk, ways to advance the craft of glass art under Stained Glass Association of America News; and ways to help determine the viability of a new product in Studio Start-Up.
