Tim Macfarlane—Creating Innovative Solutions in Glass Architecture

Engineer Tim Macfarlane of Dewhurst Macfarlane and Partners has found the firm’s involvement in the Menokin Project, the restoration of a Georgian structure in Virginia, to be a fascinating work in progress. The conservators of the structure have decided to replace missing parts of the structure with glass to represent the stone and wood that is missing rather than using materials on the property that may or may not be from the original building.
