Spring 2004
Vittorio ConstantiniHe’ll Drive You Buggy!
Using the medium of lampworking, Vittorio Constantini transforms colored canes into insects that are both technically accurate and amazingly beautiful. It takes incredible patience, a lot of experience, and incredibly good eyes to complete this process. More than forty years of experience, love, and an uncanny sense of color and proportion go into each piece.

Her love of color and texture spring from her background as a glassblower, where she learned to use powders and frits. Stevie has found that the textures she is able to accomplish depend on the amount that she layers on and how much she fuses it into the surface.
