Mike PlaneBlazing New Pathways in Glass
Mike Plane has pushed the envelope of what is physically possible to accomplish in glass. His rebellious nature leads him to constantly go beyond the accepted limits to master a material that is fickle, fragile, and occasionally obedient to the hand that works it. Mike prefers to tone down the shiny, reflective nature inherent in glass and explores surface decoration techniques that provide an organic look.

Her knowledge of glass began when she took a glassblowing class as a high school junior at the University of Nebraska and grew as she became a helper to her instructor Lloyd Moore. Sally now enjoys teaching bead workshops for the Horizons to Go programs that travel to Italy and Ireland.
