Winter 2005

Christmas of Yesteryear—Michael Haberland and the Traditions of Lauscha
The Christmas tradition of creating handblown, molded glass ornaments with a silver nitrate–coated interior began in Lauscha , Germany , in the 1820s. Michael Haberland continues that tradition in his studio using the molds handed down from his grandfather and great-grandfather.
