Summer 2009
Desert Glasshopper Studio
Peggy Pettigrew Stewart came to glass as a way to keep from going crazy while recovering from cancer. That refuge became a full-time occupation, as she grew as an artist, opening her own studio. Later she became involved as a teacher at the Scottsdale, Arizona, Carefree Resort, where she has helped them to develop the Glass Café concept. There resort visitors can take four-hour classes where they have the opportunity to discover glass art and choose from a wide selection of projects to “make and take.”
